2 (who?)
I am not naive
Not as blind as you might think
I see these games you play
I’ve seen them all before
I know this part your acting
It’s the reason for all my scars

You think I’ll let you back
As if nothing had happened
As if you did not rip out my heart
With out a second thought
Knowing what I know now

I want to believe your lies
Wanting to become lost in your words
In your fantasy that you weave
When you speak I can’t resist
I can’t see the truth
But when you leave me
I find the painful truths

We both know this game
We have played before
We know words are beautiful
Whispered into ears
Creeping into cracks in the mind
Creating a fantasy almost impossible to resist

I have found my way out
Your webs of lies
Can’t catch me now
You want me back
You need to show me
You cared once
Fight for what you want
Or I’ll leave you behind
To be lost in your loneliness
Just about how boys play their games sometimes to try to get you to believe that they have changed, when they haven't.

I love the imagery in the line "We know words are beautiful, whispered into ears, creeping into cracks in the mind, creating a fantasy almost impossible to resist." You did very well on this. I wrote a poem about lies as well, it's the perspective of the liar, me. I would love for you to read it and tell me what you think [link]
